Erin Lowry is a millennial personal finance expert and the author of the Broke Millennial series. Erin’s first book Broke Millennial – Stop Scraping by and Get Your Financial Life Together was named the best money book by MarketWatch in 2017. In 2019, Erin released her second book Broke Millennial Takes on Investing: A Beginner’s Guide to Leveling Up Your Money. Erin has appeared on BBC, CNBC, CBS Sunday Morning, and Cheddar. Erin enjoys talking about all things money without all of the fluff, formality, and shaming. Today Erin joins us to discuss her newly released third book Broke Millennial Talks Money – Scripts, Stories, and Advice to Navigate Awkward Money Conversations.

In this episode, we dive into all of those awkward money conversations we dread having. Like who should pick up the tab on a date, how to deal with a cheap friend, prenups, and even money conversations with aging parents about their finances. Whether we know it or not money intersects every part of our life.
